Thing 5
I liked using Technorati to search for other blogs, I thought it was the easiest to use and it found a lot of blogs regarding Health. It was very helpful exploring how to add the blogs to Google Reader by using the RSS icons on the webpages. I feel more comfortable using this and am excited to see where it takes me in the future. However, I still feel it can be a little overwhelming with all of the information. I think after using this for a little bit, I will have a better idea which blogs I will keep and which ones I will be getting rid of.
Thing 4
I think RSS will be a great tool to use, especially with how news is changing daily, it is hard to keep up on all the current information. The one downside that I have noticed right away is the huge number of news feeds I will get daily on Google Reader. Hopefully, after getting used to using this, I will come up with a way to get through all the information (I am also open to any suggestions!) What I like most about RSS is I just have to go to one spot for all the information, which saves a lot of time!
Thing 3
Beginning with the end in mind is the easiest for me. When I know what my students need to learn, I am then able to design my lesson plan to their needs. It also gives me a chance to take responsibility for my own learning if I come across some new material I am unsure of. And since I can view a crisis as a challenge, I am able to change my plans if something new comes up.
The hardest habit is number five. I struggle with all of the learning tools out there for me and organizing them to fit into my curriculum. That is why I have to know at the beginning what the end is so I can have more time to discover and use these tools with my students.
Thing 2
A good blog has relevant and valuable content. It is a place where people can have good discussions and connect on comment interests. It should be easy to navigate through the blog and even have links, pictures, etc.
This blog could enhance a school web site by being a direct source of information about what is going on in class for students, teachers, administration, and parents. I could post upcoming assignments, projects, pictures, and people who are connected could leave comments and share suggestions.
Blogs are an extremely easy way to get your own thoughts/interests out to the public. Whether it is for a specific job or personal blog, anyone could start one.
I believe that the Read/Write Web is going to take teaching and learning to a higher level and fast! I just hope I will be able to keep up with all the technology changes, but I do feel it is important for the students!

23 Things - The First Thing
I hope to learn many new ways of using technology in the classroom, making it easy and beneficial for myself, students, and parents, to use.
